Waterfront & Coastal Engineer/Project Manager, Philadelphia

Our client, a leading firm in the engineering and consulting industry, is seeking a Waterfront & Coastal Engineer / Project Manager to join their dynamic team. If you're ready to tackle challenging projects and make a difference in coastal communities, this opportunity is for you.

 


Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

 


•    Managing a variety of waterfront and coastal projects, varying in complexity and scale.
•    Developing and overseeing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
•    Acting as a technical lead for the design of waterfront projects, including the preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory filings.
•    Providing guidance to on-site field staff and serving as the main point of contact in client and contractor interactions.
•    Playing a significant role in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client engagement.
•    Mentoring and nurturing junior staff to support their professional growth.

 


Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

 


•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Waterfront, Coastal, or Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
•    More than 8 years of experience in waterfront and coastal design projects, with a focus on structural aspects.
•    Professional engineering license within the Atlantic and/or New England states, or eligibility for reciprocity within one year of hire.
•    Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and business development opportunities.
•    Proficiency in coastal circulation and wave modeling programs is desirable.
•    Experience with regulatory/environmental permitting for waterfront infrastructure projects is a plus.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
