Because of the company's continuing growth, its Energy, Renewables, and Environmental Services Division is looking for a Structural Engineer for offices in Georgia and Florida. This division supports industrial facilities, traditional fossil and hydroelectric producing facilities, and alternative, renewable, and sustainable power generation facilities, such as solar or alternative fuels.

• Produce engineering documentation in compliance with client and/or company procedures, regulatory regulations, industry standards, and other corporate or project specifications.
• Plan views, equipment plans, section views, elevation views, building layouts, bills of materials, and conduit/raceway plans are examples of structural drawings.
• Substation foundation and construction drawings are being created.
• Create technical equipment, building specs, and work scopes.
• Conduct design calculations and analyses such as foundation and anchoring qualifications, overturning and sliding of equipment owing to dead, wind, and seismic loads, and determining soil bearing pressures.
• Keep a current and relevant understanding of industry norms and standards, safety culture, and power-generating design processes.
• Offer peer and technical assessments of other people's engineering designs and engineering-related documentation.
• Develop solid client connections through professional interactions and communications, as well as the development of high-quality engineering products.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that designs are compatible with and that all discipline needs have been considered.
• Go visit plant sites to interact with client people and conduct walkthroughs of plant structures, systems, and components relevant to the project activity.
• Examine project schedules and resources to ensure that products are developed effectively and that projects stay below budget.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or a comparable engineering area from an ABET-accredited university.
• At least four years of professional job experience.
• Good understanding of industry and regulatory standards relevant to the electricity industry.
• Basic knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), specifically AutoCAD Civil and/or MicroStation.
• Basic understanding of ASCE, ACI, ASTM, and IEEE standards
• Basic knowledge of STAAD.PRO, GT Strudl, MFAD, or other related software.
• Able to travel 25% of the time.
• Ability and willingness to work some off-hours to assist clients and/or meet deadlines.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
