Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for water and wastewater projects? Our client, a well-established engineering consulting firm, is seeking a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand their practice in San Jose, California!

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

•    Manage and lead multidisciplinary teams for water/wastewater treatment projects, water and wastewater pumping systems, and large diameter conveyance systems.
•    Develop and execute a vision for growth within the local water resource practice and beyond.
•    Exercise autonomy in leading, directing, and expanding the business.
•    Operate with integrity and sound business principles.
•    Provide strategic vision, business planning, and goal setting.
•    Build and maintain strong client relationships.
•    Foster open communication with partners and team members.
•    Manage projects profitably and ensure smooth transition of work to qualified staff.
•    Mentor and grow team members, acting as a positive leader and role model.
•    Potential to advance to ownership with successful performance.

Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

•    Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
•    15 or more years of experience in civil engineering, design, and management of utility water projects.
•    Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of California.
•    Established client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, area counties, water management authorities, and relevant agencies.
•    Proven business development skills and ability to secure new work.
•    Ability to effectively communicate positively at all organizational levels.
•    Experience in managing and mentoring staff, and directing resources effectively.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
