Senior Transmission Engineer in Anchorage, Alaska

We are currently seeking a senior-level Transmission Design Engineer to lead our team. This is a full-time position and requires some travel. Experience utilizing PLS-CADD is required. You must have knowledge of the NESC code as well as experience in designing transmission lines up to 230 kV. Alaska professional engineer/registration or the capability of acquiring the registration within 18 months is required. You will be working or leading our transmission section to perform transmission line design (engineering analysis, route selection, structure spotting, staking sheets, and line design calculations). Other responsibilities include technical design, project review, development of transmission standards, drawings, specifications, cost estimating, project scheduling, and project management.

The position is located in Anchorage, Alaska. The position will supervise a department of 3 engineers and technicians and prepare the department for expected growth in the next several years. We do work throughout Alaska, Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest.
