Senior Project Manager - Water Infrastructure

Our client, a prominent employee-owned engineering firm operating in North America, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. With a strong focus on sustainability and exceptional client outcomes, this position offers significant opportunities for professional growth and impact.

 


Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

 


•    Overseeing large, intricate projects with diverse project teams across multiple disciplines.
•    Acting as the principal project leader, mentoring junior project managers on less complex assignments.
•    Directing the preparation of planning studies, evaluations, and feasibility studies for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure initiatives.
•    Supervising the development of plans and specifications for both new and rehabilitated facilities.
•    Leading construction engineering support services to ensure successful project execution.
•    Spearheading the technical development of project proposals.
•    Building and nurturing relationships with key clients as the primary account leader.

 


Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:

 


•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or a related field).
•     PE license in Florida.
•    A minimum of 15 years of experience in planning, designing, and managing water and wastewater infrastructure projects for major utility clients.
•    Preferred experience with municipalities in the Tampa, Orlando, or I-4 corridor areas.
•    Strong technical skills and leadership experience, particularly in water or wastewater treatment plants.
•    At least 5 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams.
•    A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing proposals for engineering projects.
•    Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships effectively.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
