Our client, a well-established environmental consulting organization, is seeking a Senior Level Environmental Compliance Consultant to oversee regulatory compliance services across multiple regions. The right candidate will bring expertise in environmental regulations, with a focus on managing complex compliance initiatives. This is a leadership role aimed at ensuring regulatory adherence and driving the growth of compliance services.
• Maintain expert-level understanding of federal and state environmental regulations, particularly in multi-state jurisdictions.
• Lead and manage large-scale environmental compliance projects, with a focus on wastewater and environmental quality management.
• Provide oversight and direction for compliance tasks, including regulatory reporting, monitoring, and technical solutions.
• Supervise project teams, including internal staff, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring high standards of quality control, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Develop detailed project proposals, budgets, scopes of work, and deliverables, including regulatory compliance assessments and environmental reports.
• Communicate with clients and regulatory bodies to facilitate compliance and resolve any regulatory challenges.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, project plans, and specifications.
• Mentor junior team members and supervise tasks at varying levels of complexity.
• Contribute to business growth by identifying new opportunities and supporting proposal development efforts.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• At least 16 years of experience in environmental compliance, with a strong background in consulting.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations governing environmental compliance, including water quality and pollution control.
• Proven experience leading environmental compliance projects of moderate to large scale.
• Familiarity with regulatory programs such as RCRA, CWA, CAA, and EPCRA.
• Professional certifications or licenses (PE, PG, or similar) preferred.
• Experience using relevant technical tools, including GIS and CAD software.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of managing successful project teams.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
