Our client, a fast-growing player in renewable energy, seeks an experienced Senior Estimator to lead cost estimation for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role requires expertise in project estimating, from initial bid analysis to final presentation, and involves mentoring junior team members. Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

•    Develop accurate project cost estimates, incorporating scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality
•    Manage the estimation process from start to contract completion with guidance from the Estimating Manager
•    Lead project discussions, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations
•    Conduct site visits and integrate site conditions into project plans
•    Verify subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure project competitiveness
•    Coordinate project schedules, working with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
•    Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
•    Support the proposal process and assist in transitioning projects to the construction team
•    Mentor junior estimators to strengthen the team's capabilities

Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:

•    At least 8 years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or a related field
•    Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a relevant field
•    Proficiency in estimating software such as WinEst or B2W and take-off software.
•    Proficiency in project management tools like CMiC, and scheduling software such as Primavera
•    Strong project management skills, including scheduling, cost management, and client relations
•    Ability to travel to project sites as required for estimation and planning purposes
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
