Our client is a well-established engineering firm specializing in water and wastewater treatment projects across the U.S. They are seeking a dedicated Senior Engineering Specialist to create and manage innovative design solutions for various municipal projects. In this role, you will work closely with experienced professionals, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to projects that make a positive impact on communities, all while enjoying a supportive culture that values teamwork and collaboration.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

•    Create engineering designs, including technical drawings, specifications, and process diagrams for municipal water and wastewater projects.
•    Lead mechanical design tasks and manage small to mid-sized projects.
•    Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth.
•    Conduct site visits for project evaluations and inspections.
•    Collaborate with other engineering teams to complete construction documents.
•    Provide office support during construction, including submittal reviews and information requests.
•    Perform calculations and analyses to ensure compliance with design specifications.
•    Seek feedback from senior staff and implement their guidance.

Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
•    Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification or the ability to obtain it soon.
•    At least 5 years of experience in water and wastewater project design.
•    Experience leading design tasks and working in teams.
•    Proficiency in engineering software (e.g.Mathcad).
•    Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
•    Master’s degree in a related engineering field is a plus.
•    6 to 10 years of relevant experience is preferred.
•    Familiarity with engineering software tools is a plus.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
