This opportunity is for a Senior Civil Solar Engineer who will be responsible for managing all aspects of design specifically for renewables projects. This is a prime chance to collaborate with the preconstruction/estimating and project execution teams to ensure that the civil designs meet all applicable client requirements.
Responsibilities you can expect from this role?
- Solicit requests for proposals to various civil and structural engineering firms for potential projects and pursuits
- Develop civil and structural engineering scope of work for pursuits based on EPC contract requirements
- Refinement of EPC contracts with clients during pre-construction phase
- Interface with appropriate project management and field supervision team to provide civil engineering input and knowledge for possible projects Rosendin is pursuing
- Vet out civil engineering subconsultants
- Work with preconstruction designer to develop preliminary site layouts
- Help define site constraints and define buildable area for solar PV array
- Assist Estimating group to help approximate civil quantities for pricing exercises
- Review (QA/QC) civil and structural engineering drawing packages and calculations from contracted firms for solar PV projects
- Interface with project management team, field/operations team and other engineering disciplines to ensure all civil and structural aspects of the design are met to Rosendin standards and consider constructability and value engineering
