Senior Associate - Corporate M&A

A prestigious law firm in Los Angeles, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, is expanding its Corporate M&A practice and actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate. This role involves leading complex transactions, providing strategic counsel, and contributing to the firm's continued success. The position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate on innovative legal strategies, mentor junior associates, and stay informed about industry trends. Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

 


•    Take the lead in overseeing all facets of corporate M&A transactions, encompassing due diligence, negotiation, and the creation of agreements.
•    Offer strategic counsel to clients on a broad spectrum of corporate concerns, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
•    Collaborate closely with partners and fellow team members to formulate inventive legal strategies and deliver solutions tailored to clients.
•    Perform comprehensive legal research, analyze intricate issues, and furnish clients with clear and concise recommendations.
•    Supervise junior associates, providing mentorship to aid in their professional development.
•    Cultivate and sustain robust client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and nurturing enduring partnerships.
•    Keep abreast of legal developments, industry trends, and best practices in Corporate M&A.

 


Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

 


•    Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
•    Hold admission to the California State Bar.
•    7+ years of experience in Corporate M&A practice.
•    Demonstrate a proven track record of effectively managing and concluding complex M&A transactions.
•    Exhibit excellent skills in negotiation, drafting, and communication.
•    Maintain a client-focused mindset with an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
