Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

 


•    Drafting, reviewing, and approving transactional contracts related to solar project development.
•    Attending and leading negotiations against and resolving disputes with counterparties.
•    Supporting business development, identifying and controlling legal risks, and managing legal and practical business risks for various business models.
•    Managing daily legal matters, including reviewing service contracts, real property options to lease or the option to purchase agreements, and drafting/preparing official letters and corporate resolutions.
•    Researching laws, regulations, and policies related to renewable energy and providing legal advice in consultation with external law firms on a case-by-case basis.

 

 

Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

 


•    Minimum of 5 years experience in legal and risk management work in a law firm, legal department, and/or institution.
•    Preferred experience in solar development legal practices.
•    Strong commitment to conducting a wide range of legal work with professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
•    Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proven ability to analyze and solve problems.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
