Project/Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater (Raleigh, NC)

A top consulting firm with a rapidly expanding footprint is looking for a motivated Project/Process Engineer to support critical local wastewater expansion and upgrade projects. Key Responsibilities

 

 

As a Project/Process Engineer, your day-to-day will involve:

 

  • Leading the engineering aspects of design, permitting, and construction administration for water and wastewater treatment facility projects.
  • Creating presentations, evaluating processes, preparing construction documents, and modeling treatment processes.
  • Managing and coordinating project design teams, including engineers, designers, and consultants, and facilitating collaboration with other firm disciplines.
  • Researching, interpreting, and implementing relevant codes, client requirements, and process standards to ensure compliance.
  • Preparing specifications, reviewing shop drawings, and supporting construction administration.
  • Coordinating quality control efforts and compiling multi-disciplinary plans for agency approval.
  • Conducting periodic travel for business development and project management tasks, followed by reports and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Providing regular project updates to management regarding project quality, progress, scheduling, and budget adherence.

 

 

Requirements

 

 

  • 2-5 years of experience in the design and permitting of wastewater treatment plants.
  • Professional Engineer certification.
  • B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering quality results on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of regulatory processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and maintain clear communication with clients, engineers, and project managers.
