• Ensure that project close-out is completed on time, including the completion of the punch list, the submission of accurate as-built drawings, operations manuals, and other administrative needs.
• Analyze and resolve issues such as work procedures, complaints, and construction concerns with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design specialists.
• Take part in project status meetings with the owner, general contractor, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Fully involved in the industry, client, and community relations to improve corporate image
• Evaluate margin gain and fade, aiming to maximize gain while limiting fade.
• Communicate with the foreman on-site and support the field crew to ensure a smooth installation.
• Monthly comparison of project estimates and actual performance to ensure desired profit margin is met
• Show that important pre-planning tools are used consistently and produce high-quality results.
• Plan and develop the project Exit Strategy by the company’s normal procedure.
• Coordinate and supervise the Lessons Learned meeting by the company’s normal process.
• Fill up the standard template for monthly cost forecasts and submit them to the Project Executive and/or Branch Manager.
• Assure accurate and timely project billing, including expediting change orders and prompt collections.
• Deliver projects with a high degree of quality and customer satisfaction to customers.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a construction-related course.
• A comparable combination of education, technical training, and/or associated experience as an electrical contractor or in a comparable industry is also considered.
• Experience managing electrical construction projects for at least 5 years.
• Experience managing major projects independently up to $25 million and a demonstrated ability to manage numerous projects.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, National Electric Code, & California Building and Electrical Codes.
• Ability to self-price change orders and work within project timelines.
• Complete knowledge of electrical construction, contracts, and terminology.
• Familiarity with software applications such as Accubid and Spectrum is preferred.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
