This role sits within a well-established water practice focused on supporting public-sector and utility clients, offering the opportunity to lead impactful infrastructure programs that enhance community resilience and sustainability.
Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing the full lifecycle delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring successful outcomes across scope, schedule, and budget
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships with municipal, regional, and government stakeholders
- Leading business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and client presentations
- Supporting regional growth strategies and contributing to broader market planning initiatives
- Overseeing multidisciplinary project teams, including engineering, design, and technical specialists
- Driving project performance through effective planning, financial management, and risk mitigation
- Managing contracts, including negotiating terms, monitoring compliance, and overseeing invoicing and payments
- Establishing performance goals and leading regular project reviews to ensure delivery excellence
- Mentoring and developing team members, supporting performance improvement and career progression
- Assisting with recruitment and team expansion to meet evolving project and market needs
Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- 10–15+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure
- Proven experience managing complex, high-value projects within public-sector or utility environments
- Strong business development and client engagement experience
- Solid understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics
- Experience with contract negotiation, commercial terms, and risk management practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a client-facing, collaborative environment
