Project Engineer, Nevada/Colorado

Join this leading construction industry based in Montana and is currently seeking a qualified Project Engineer to join their team in Nevada or Colorado. The company specializes in various projects such as dam construction, power transmission, and sewer and water pipeline projects. The ideal candidate must have a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience in construction-related positions.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

 


•    Participate in the cost control system operations and analyze construction costs at a high level.
•    Participate in monthly forecasting of revenue and cost accruals.
•    Accumulate all required data and prepare monthly pay estimates.
•    Process and estimate change orders and Requests for Information as directed by the Project Manager.
•    Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals.
•    Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals, and resubmittals, including a file of letters of transmittal and dates of each transaction.
•    Process and manage material deliveries, ensuring that materials received comply with contract documents and are properly inspected for quantity and quality.
•    Manage and negotiate subcontractor and material contracts.
•    Assist in developing and updating the project schedule.
•    Work closely with field construction personnel, including Superintendents, Foremen, and Crews.

 


Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

 


•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration (Accounting, Management, or Finance), Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.
•    Willingness to travel and relocate, as project sites are located domestically and internationally.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Ability to access all points of a construction site in diverse climates and environments.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
