Procurement Manager

This leading design and building contractor in the renewable energy industry is creating an excellent standard of designing and executing wind, solar and infrastructure projects across the globe. They’re a value driven organization and operate with a strong pipeline of business, including exciting growth currently being experienced.

 

They are currently looking for a Procurement Manager to join their Solar Energy Projects.? This position is flexible for hybrid or remote employment and will be reporting to the Signal Energy Director of Procurement. If successful in this role you will be responsible for all procurement activities associated with purchasing equipment in support of assigned projects and in alignment with the company policies and procedures. 

 

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

 

  • Manage all aspects of material procurement for the project, from bidding to prequalified bidders, negotiation/execution of agreements, facilitating notices, change orders and closing out contracts
  • Review purchase requests for pertinent and accurate information, prepare and execute requisition requests
  • Monitor market trends, suppliers and emerging technologies and research and evaluate areas of opportunity
  • Prepare and manage Requests for Proposals including preparation of RFP documents, review of proposals, performing price analysis, negotiation of price and contract terms, scope review, and recommendation of selected bidders
  • Develop creative and innovative procurement processes along with delivering briefs and reports where required.
  • Utilize purchase order management systems and software (Viewpoint / Procore) for preparing Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders

 

Desired and required skillsets, experience and qualifications:

 

  • 3 years or more in Sourcing, Subcontracting or Supply Chain Management role(s) a plus
  • 3 years or more of EPC or construction contracting experience preferred
  • Renewable Energy, Power Plant, and/or EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, construction management, economics or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and related experience. 
  • Experience with Viewpoint by Vista or Procore preferred
