Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

 


•    Collecting and analyzing data for environmental impact assessments.
•    Using various data sources to create forecasts for water and air quality projects.
•    Conducting detailed analyses for environmental reports and reviewing junior staff’s work.
•    Leading field studies to assess the environmental effects of land developments.
•    Collaborating with engineers and clients to solve environmental design issues.
•    Checking land use proposals for compliance with environmental laws.
•    Helping prepare environmental documents like impact reports.
•    Assisting in community outreach with informative materials and presentations.
•    Mentoring junior staff to support their growth.
•    Working with the business team to develop proposals for client requests.
•    Meeting with clients to discuss their environmental compliance needs.

 


Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:

 


•    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
•    Professional certifications (like AICP, PTP, PE, or CEP) or a Master’s degree preferred.
•    6-7 years of relevant experience based on education level.
•    Willingness to travel as needed for projects.
•    Good knowledge of CEQA and NEPA regulations.
•    Experience writing environmental documents for different projects.
•    Background in transit and aviation assessments is a plus.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
