They are now is seeking an Operations Engineer to support our U.S. operations and maintenance teams. As a key member of their team, you'll work closely with the Engineering department to ensure smooth project handovers and lead technical responses to local and global stakeholders. Your experience in project execution and construction will be critical in accepting technical deliverables from external parties and validating project metrics. You'll also play a key role in providing cross-functional learnings to early and execution-stage assets.

• During the commissioning period and until the transfer to the O&M and Asset Management team, ensure that the solar plant capacity and reliability are optimized through effective planning, cooperation, and operation.
• Integrate the knowledge gained from operating assets and construction into the design process and technical specifications.
• Assist the EPC team in preparing and executing the QA/AC for commissioning of utility-scale solar plants.
• Facilitate coordination among the Asset Managers, O&M Technicians, and Project Engineers to develop and implement improvements to site performance and reliability by updating technical specifications.
• Provide feedback, technical/engineering input, and validate data on innovative ideas and concepts from the Design, Asset Management, and O&M teams to improve operational processes and reduce costs.
• Review and assist the technical team with technical specifications and factory acceptance testing.
• Deliver a comprehensive report on key lessons learned from executed projects, including equipment, manufacturers, and practices.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Other relevant qualifications and experience will be considered.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role working on utility-scale solar projects.
• Possess extensive knowledge of the latest codes such as NEC, UL, and NFPA.
• Possess excellent electrical forensic skills.
• Able to communicate technical issues effectively to a non-technical audience.
• Possess OSHA 30 Construction Certification, if possible.
• Be willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time to visit project sites and attend important meetings as required.
• Extensive experience in designing PV utility-scale projects for construction, including supporting project management, reviewing technical documents, high voltage substations and energy storage components.
• Extensive experience in both reactive and proactive problem-solving and data analytics.
• Possess extensive experience in commissioning, close-out processes, and operations.
• Experience in evaluating and resolving technical issues in operating projects to assist an Asset Management team.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
