Our client is looking for a skilled asset management specialist to join its Portfolio Management team in the renewable energy industry. In this role, you'll be in charge of overseeing crucial business and financial operations related to the management of our portfolio of physical infrastructure investments, which mainly consists of grid-connected and behind-the-meter renewable energy and energy efficiency assets.

• Acting as the relationship manager for the counterparties in asset management at our sponsor partners.
• Managing the creation and upkeep of internal reporting systems and dashboards, as well as managing portfolio monitoring, financial modeling, risk management, asset optimization analysis, and contract review and negotiation.
• Functioning as lead on any underperforming assets or workouts, including taking on project operational obligations and negotiating any restructurings or disposal, to optimize value.
• Ensuring a smooth transition when investments are closed and providing comments on experience from the current portfolio to improve future investment underwriting.
• Fielding ad hoc queries from the company regarding investment data, operating and financial performance, and processes, as well as comprehending and internally communicating deal and transaction specifics.
• Supporting the development of portfolio key metrics tracking for internal pro forma forecasting, supporting the due diligence on new debt/equity investments and acquisition activity with a focus on key commercial contract terms, and examining the production, operating expense, merchant curves, and assumption integrity.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enable the thorough, precise, and prompt onboarding of new transactions and ongoing investment monitoring.
• Coordinating with middle office and IT resources as necessary to support the continued development of software systems, reports, and analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Finance, Economics, Business, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the power sector in finance/investment banking, or in the valuation or financing of renewable energy projects.
• Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills in MS Excel, with a history of working with complicated models.
• A master's degree in business, economics, or finance is preferred.
• Proficiency with Business Objects, SQL, SSMS, SSIS, R, Power BI, Tableau, and other contemporary data analytics and reporting tools is preferred.
• CFA candidate or CFA Charterholder is a plus.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
