Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

 


•    Collaborate with the project and estimating team to develop accurate estimates for large and complex underground projects.
•    Gain a thorough understanding of project requirements by reviewing the owner's plans and specifications.
•    Ensure the accuracy of quantity takeoffs and material pricing.
•    Coordinate with the accounting and equipment departments to determine labor and equipment costs.
•    Develop project scopes of work and schedules.
•    Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare proposals and technical documents.

 


Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

 


•    A bachelor's degree in Mining or Civil Engineering is preferred, although equivalent experience in construction-related positions will also be considered.
•    A minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil underground construction.
•    Experience in estimating and bidding for underground projects.
•    Background or experience with Tunnel Boring Machines or Drill and Blast operations.
•    Strong organizational and time management skills.
•    Safety-oriented mindset, with preference given to candidates holding 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates.
•    Ability to access all areas of construction sites in various climates and environments.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
