Embark on a rewarding opportunity with our client, a prominent engineering firm, as a Lead Drainage Stormwater Engineer. You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating project execution and ensuring project continuity within scope, budget, and schedule. In addition to spearheading technical excellence, you'll foster relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and industry partners.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for drainage and/or stormwater aspects of projects with clients.
• Conduct hydrology and hydraulic analyses for various infrastructure projects, including transportation, site development, and flood control.
• Lead drainage design efforts, encompassing storm drains, pipe networks, culverts, and more.
• Oversee stormwater design tasks, including the preparation of required documentation and erosion control plans.
• Coordinate design team efforts to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables.
• Prepare engineering plans and details using relevant software tools.
• Develop specifications, technical reports, and support construction activities.
• Mentor junior staff members.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Professional Engineering license in California required; QSD and/or QISP certification a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on drainage and/or stormwater design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InRoads, and/or Microstation.
• Previous experience with Caltrans/highway projects preferred.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
