They are currently seeking a Lead Design BESS Engineer to spearhead utility-scale BESS projects.
In this role, you will utilize your expertise to solve complex engineering problems using advanced techniques and concepts. • Provide guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and company policies.
• Develop, maintain, and update engineering standards.
• Apply knowledge and comply with company quality program relative to assigned tasks
• Ensure compliance with company quality program and provide related guidance and direction to others.
• Support continuous improvement and change management efforts.
• Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects.
• Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Oversee collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work.
• Prepare complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
• Actively coordinate with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects.
• Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers on moderately complex projects and communicate these to the project team.
• Provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a particular practice area as a technical specialist.
• Implement resource management strategy and manage engineering resources for small groups of a single discipline.
• Perform administrative responsibilities as required, including office administration, ensuring policies, procedures, and processes are effectively implemented and communicated, and adhering to corporate and division programs.
• Approve timesheets and expense reports as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
• Possess advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering disciplines.
• Have a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
• Able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected), which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
