Heavy Equipment Operator

The company specializes in various areas such as renewable energy, power, tunneling, oil and gas, and heavy civil work. They are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to work on a project in Gallatin, TN. The project includes South Rail Loop Cell 4 & 5 construction at Gallatin Fossil Plant.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

 


•    Operate heavy construction equipment, including dozers, tractors, scrapers, loaders, excavators, and rock drills, in a safe and effective manner.
•    Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
•    Operate equipment efficiently and follow on-site management's instructions.
•    Comply with all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements.
•    Willing and able to perform equipment maintenance as necessary.

 

 

Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

 


•    Have at least 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
•    Successfully pass a drug screening before employment.
•    Skilled in rigging and hoisting material.
•    Able to climb in and out of vehicles or equipment that are 3.5 feet or more above the ground.
•    Must have OSHA 10 certification or obtain it within 14 days of employment.
•    Able to maintain regular attendance and meet the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
•    Skilled in safely and efficiently performing essential job functions and meeting productivity standards consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
