Our client, a growing firm specializing in civil engineering solutions, is seeking talented and dedicated Engineers to join their Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) Division. This role offers a mix of fieldwork and office assignments, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Conduct field reconnaissance and data collection, including visual inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.
• Acquire, process, and utilize GIS data to support hydrologic model development.
• Process field data and terrain information to develop hydraulic models.
• Develop various hydrologic and hydraulic models and interpret the data.
• Create solutions to address identified flooding risks.
• Prepare technical documents, including field and engineering reports, animations, and graphics.
• Represent the firm in the community and through professional organizations and events.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a focus on hydrology and/or hydraulic studies. A Master’s degree with an emphasis on hydraulics, hydrology, or water resources is preferred.
• Strong interest in hydrology and hydraulics (H&H), particularly riverine flooding.
• 0-5 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, HydroCAD, ArcPRO, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS, and GPS Systems is preferred but not required.
• Solid understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
• Active participation in professional and community organizations is a plus.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
