Our client, a respected leader in environmental and engineering services, is seeking an Environmental Project Manager with expertise in NEPA, permitting, and environmental studies. This role offers an opportunity to work in a leading environmental services team focused on project planning, permitting, and remediation services. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing complex projects across multiple industries, including transportation, energy, and utilities.
• Managing environmental projects and leading teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Overseeing routing and siting studies, NEPA documentation, and state/federal environmental documentation
• Building and maintaining client relationships, including involvement in business development efforts
• Preparing and managing project proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
• Collaborating with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to meet compliance and project requirements
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff members
• Demonstrating innovative solutions for complex environmental challenges
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental sciences, natural sciences, planning, or related fields (relevant experience may substitute for a degree)
• Minimum of 7 years in environmental consulting, with a focus on project management and client development (preferably 7+ years in environmental or engineering projects)
• Familiarity with NEPA and permitting processes, as well as experience with agencies like U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and other regulatory bodies
• Experience in fields such as electricity transmission, oil & gas, renewables, or transportation
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
• Proficiency with GIS.
• Experience working with both private and public-sector clients
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
