Our client is looking for a Distribution Engineer 5 to assist with their distribution team. This position serves as a technical specialist or as a leader and responsible in providing technical direction to a group of engineers or supervise engineering professionals on projects of moderate to medium complexity. Also in charge of producing, validating, and presenting specialist/technical output.

• Gives instruction and guidance on department design guidelines, standards, systems, appropriate engineering regulations, and company rules.
• in charge of ensuring that the company's quality program is followed.
• Assists in the development, maintenance, and upgrading of engineering standards.
• Applying knowledge independently and according to the corporate quality program in relation to assigned duties.
• Produces a wide range of complicated engineering deliverables for larger or numerous projects.
• Conducts extensive study and makes recommendations for equipment and/or ma.
• Project design supervision using CAD, GIS, or other client systems as needed.
• Conducting calculations such as pole loading, cable pulling, capacity, guying, and fuse calculations.
• Assisting with the identification of significant client interests and drivers on fairly complicated initiatives, and in some cases, determining the key clients.
• Communicates customer interests and drivers to project team members and develops strategies to address these concerns in the performance of moderately complicated projects.
• Creates and applies sophisticated engineering concepts and methodologies to specific engineering issues.
• Usually supports with the performance management process, mentoring, recognition, and any necessary remedial actions.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized authorized institution is required.
• At least 8 years of related work experience.
• Advanced understanding of engineering design principles, as well as applicable design guidelines and standards for the given engineering field
• PE certification.
• OSHA 10 hour training and an NCEES record are preferred.
• Previous distribution and leadership experience, including directing a team or project.
• Experience with power studies and system evaluations.
• Experience in construction is an advantage.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
