They are currently looking for a Distribution Designer 4 to join their distribution team and work in a mid-level distribution design engineering capacity.
You will conduct distribution design engineering responsibilities in this position, which will necessitate knowledge and experience in engineering principles. This level expands on previous experience as an Engineer/Designer by gaining more knowledge in a given subject area with the expectation that assignments will be larger and more complicated, or by earning experience in more subject areas. • Effectively coordinates with all other internal/external team members.
• Convey client interests and drivers to project team members and proposes techniques to address these concerns in the execution of work on less difficult projects.
• In charge of assisting with the identification of key client interests and drives.
• Typically supports the performance management process, mentoring, recognition, and any necessary remedial actions.
• Applying knowledge consistently and autonomously and adhering to the company’s quality program to assigned duties.
• Produces a wide range of complicated engineering outputs.
• Conducts extensive study and makes recommendations for equipment and/or material choices.
• Complex engineering calculations are prepared using conventional procedures and ideas.
• Proceeds to study stay current and use independent knowledge and interpretation of departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and the company’s rules and procedures to given assignments.
• Sets and executes independent evaluation, selection, and adaption of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• More than 5 years of experience in distribution design.
• Expertise in pole loading calculations, distribution framing, and distribution equipment placement/location.
• Basic engineering design principles, especially in medium voltage distribution design, as well as applicable design guidelines and standards relating to the assigned engineering discipline.
• Proficient understanding of the company's quality program, building and constructability processes and concepts, and procurement and contract administration.
• Moderate understanding of engineering deliverable topics as assigned.
• Basic process understanding, project control processes and estimating.
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, as well as applicable design guidelines and standards relevant to the given engineering discipline.
• Moderate understanding of the proposal process's technical features.
• Intermediate commercial and financial expertise, as well as an understanding of other areas
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
