Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to expand and oversee their environmental planning team in the Southern California region. This role will focus on growing the business within the largest environmental services market in the nation. Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

•    Providing technical leadership as a Senior Project Manager or Project Director on key environmental planning projects
•    Developing and implementing strategies to grow the environmental planning practice across the region
•    Leading business development efforts, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities
•    Managing and mentoring a team of environmental planners, supporting their professional growth and development
•    Ensuring the successful delivery of complex environmental planning projects, focusing on quality and innovation
•    Overseeing client relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or a related field
•    12+ years of experience in environmental planning, focused on CEQA projects
•    Proven leadership in managing teams and mentoring staff
•    Strong experience in client development and business growth
•    Ability to solve problems and manage projects in a fast-paced environment
•    Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
•    Preferred experience in Southern California environmental planning
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
