This business has been quietly building its portfolio of assets and projects across the Southern United States, with a focus on innovation and a dedication to environmental responsibility.

 

This is an opportunity to join the executive team and lead the finance function of a fast-growing renewable energy business, help guide its operations, and shape its strategy from a finance perspective as the company deploys its capital on increasingly ambitious solar energy projects in Texas and beyond.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Provide strategic financial leadership, overseeing all financial aspects of the organization.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and systems to support the company's long-term objectives.
  • Manage financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to optimize financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to formulate and execute the company's strategic plan.
  • Drive financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and industry trends.
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial implications of various corporate strategies.
  • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations for mitigation or exploitation.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to safeguard the company's financial assets.
  • Act as a key liaison with investors, analysts, and financial institutions, ensuring transparent communication on financial performance.
  • Participate in fundraising activities, managing relationships with existing and potential investors.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Provide insights into financial performance and key metrics to guide decision-making.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop finance professionals to enhance their skills and contribute to the organization's success.

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • A CPA qualification.
  • 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a focus on industrial-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Proven track record of success in financial management within a complex and dynamic business environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and valuation.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive organizational growth.
  • Experience in aligning financial goals with broader business objectives.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performance teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the solar energy industry, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
  • Experience in managing finances for large-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
