Our client is looking to expand their team with several driven and client-focused professionals for the role of Environmental Planner. This position offers flexibility with hybrid work schedules and can be based in various office locations across California. • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of environmental experts to ensure project compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Oversee the preparation and management of environmental documentation in accordance with CEQA and NEPA requirements.
• Conduct impact assessments, prepare detailed reports, and lead project evaluations.
• Develop and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing proposals and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Provide guidance and training to junior team members on environmental planning processes and regulatory frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the CEQA process and California environmental regulations.
• For Staff Environmental Planner a minimum of 5 years' experience working on CEQA/NEPA documents, with at least 1 year in project management is required
• For Senior Environmental Planner a minimum of 8 years' experience with CEQA/NEPA documents, including 3 years in a project management role is required.
• Experience with CEQA, NEPA, CEQA-Plus compliance, Caltrans requirements, and relevant permits is a plus.
