In the role of Aviation Senior Project Manager, you will assume a crucial position in supervising projects for general aviation and non-hub commercial service airports. Your responsibilities encompass the complete project life cycle, from capital improvement planning to project closure. Additionally, you'll be tasked with ensuring adherence to diverse regulations and standards while fostering seamless coordination among engineering design teams.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

 


•    Lead and oversee aviation projects funded by FAA and State DOT within a designated client portfolio.
•    Supervise the complete project life cycle, starting from capital improvement planning to project closure, ensuring timely and budget-compliant achievement of objectives.
•    Ensure adherence to statewide aviation systems plans, individual airport master plans, safety regulations, environmental laws, federal land acquisition, federal grant assurance requirements, and both federal and state design standards.
•    Apply expertise in FAA Advisory Circulars for airport design and construction, encompassing runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons, grading/drainage, and pavement markings.
•    Formulate contract specifications and estimate project bids.
•    Coordinate with engineering design teams and collaborate with other disciplines to meet project goals.
•    Maintain precise daily timekeeping records.

 


Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

 


•    Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
•    Over 8 years of advancing experience in the field of civil engineering.
•    Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is desirable.
•    Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
•    Proficient knowledge of general office equipment; familiarity with MS Office (AutoCAD skills are advantageous).
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
