Asset, Operations & Maintenance Manager

A leading provider in the renewable energy sector is currently seeking a seasoned Asset and O&M Manager to join their team. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment in San Antonio, Texas. The successful candidate will be part of a close-knit team, contributing to the organization's growth and success. Reporting to the Director EPC and Operations, the Asset and O&M Manager will oversee financial and operational aspects, ensuring efficient management of solar power generation facilities. Key responsibilities include optimizing asset performance, managing reporting obligations, and facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders.

 


Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

 


•    Supervise asset management, operations, and maintenance of solar power facilities.
•    Ensure safety, performance, and reliability of assets while maximizing generation output.
•    Complete reporting requirements accurately and within deadlines.
•    Evaluate asset performance, implementing strategies to enhance revenue.
•    Provide guidance and oversight to direct reports.
•    Conduct proactive maintenance and performance analysis.
•    Enhance operational knowledge through training and process improvement.
•    Enforce contractual agreements and warranties.
•    Investigate downtime and performance issues, implementing corrective actions.
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Manage communication with stakeholders.
•    Foster a safety-oriented culture within the organization.

 


Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role: 

 


•    Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
•    More than 5 years’ experience in solar power asset management or operations/maintenance.
•    Strong background in operations or financial management.
•    Some travel required.
•    3 to 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
•    Familiarity with enterprise-level software systems for remote data acquisition.
•    Understanding of environmental and safety regulations.
•    Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
